Second volume of Typography In NYC. More than 2 years after this project first got launched, I started to realise a need to resume my collection of the typography in the city for its ever-changing nature.

The first issue of this project was made mostly during the pandemic, hence reflecting the city’s unique vibe of that very specific time. As New York City regains energy in its visual culture, more typographic elements such as advertisements, shop banners and street posters become more abundant, many designed, but some “undesigned” as well. While the purpose of this book, same as the first issue, is not to judge or evaluate how “good” these typographic assets are, but to provide a curated archive of all sorts of visual communications around us. It shall remain as a representation of some typographic landscapes and moments that happened in NYC from 2022 to 2023, and hopefully serves as a source of inspiration to the readers.
